Since everyone is interested in Steven's adventure through the US, I figured I'd share my own story from when he visited me in New York City just last week. I have been friends with Steven since meeting him on blogTV almost 8 years ago. We met for the first time in person back in 2011 when he came up to New York for his wedding. Since then, we've met a few more times here and there. I know many of you consider Steven a celebrity, however, to me he is much more than that. I can truly say that Steven is my best friend for life.
When Steven and I first met in person back in 2011, it was in Forever 21 in Times Square. This trip around, we decided to recreate that first photo we took together, and I love it!
P.S. That Starbucks cup is not mine, I hate coffee!
Unfortunately for us, Steven arrived in NYC sick and I was just getting over a really bad cold. This limited us from doing some of the things we planned, but to be honest, the time we spend together at home, chatting and watching "Everybody Loves Raymond", as well as other movies and shows was fun! Steven introduced me to an old show called "Crisis" and we ended up watching the entire series (just 1 season) together - I loved it!
Other than some sightseeing we did, we were also lucky to get some last minute tickets to the Wendy Williams Show!
The last time Steven visited NYC, we ended up going to a taping of the David Letterman Show. That was bad! The Wendy Williams Show on the other hand was full of energy and fun and definitely something that I wouldn't mind doing again!
(P.S. I hate this picture of me! Steven is flawless as always, but I hate how I look. LOL.)
(How you doing??)
As you saw in one of the other posts, Steven and I also visited Times Square and got to appear on a Chinese news video blog.
Although we had no idea what they were making us say, we had lots of fun and the video came out pretty good, if I might say so myself!
On our last day, we also ended up visiting the 9/11 Memorial and filming a small tribute video. Now, I know this sparked some outrage for some of you, but I need to make it very clear that from the very beginning, Steven did not intend this to be a theatrical video nor was he doing it for views and likes. It was strictly to show his respect and he did it in the best way he knew how. All you haters can get lost, as I believe the video was done with great respect and it's got my approval! (If you want to see the video, you can check it out on Steven's FB)
For the rest of the trip, we enjoyed tons of Starbucks and just enjoyed our time together!
(FYI - the temperature during the time this picture was taken was in the single digits)
Due to both of us being sick, our trip was pretty much laid back and relaxed, so there's not much else to post about. I dropped Steven off at the bus station and saying goodbye was hard (as always). Having Steven here for a week was a blast and I look forward to many more visits and trips together!
